Dr. Barbara accepts many insurance plans, including Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care and Medicare, and insurance for auto accidents.

I graduated in 1987 from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR. After practicing and teaching in Portland for a few years, I relocated to San Francisco and began a decades long, successful practice on Union Street at Chiromedica. In November 2021, I was thrilled to move and combine my practice with Dr. Ellen at Dolores Park Chiropractic.

In 2016, after 29 years of a holistic chiropractic practice, where my focus was on the whole body and its functioning, I was introduced to a new technique while at a rehabilitation seminar. At the time, I was healing from a wrist injury and wearing a wrist brace. When the chiropractor sitting next to me questioned me about my wrist, she offered to treat it using her hand held cold laser. My wrist was significantly better after the weekend and I began my journey in exploring Cold Laser Therapy, its benefits and uses. I am pleased and amazed at how the laser works. When I am not doing what I love at work, I spend time hiking the hills of the city and the trails of West Marin. I also have a passion for crafting miniature houses and scenes; some of my work can be seen in the office. Being passionate about work and play alike is a balance that is very important to me and one that I hope can help you to achieve.
